Married Gays Don’t Count

You can’t formulate policy without knowing the figures. How can you determine what to spend, if you don’t know how many need a program? Yet the US Census will not count Gays, or Gay Couples thanks to the Defense of Marriage Act. They will have no real way of knowing how many gay kids there are, because they don’t ask if you are or not. No wonder passage of the Mathew Shepard Act is in limbo or why the military refuses to repeal DADT. No One knows how many Gays there are, or aren’t.
