Differences in Culture.

Strange world isn’t it? I mean his church is the one major force opposing equality for a minority, and just as his word was spread despite torture and death, it is still reaching beyond the rhetoric. People are seeing for themselves, using their FREE WILL to choose doing what is right, as opposed to satisfying bigots and racists.

There is a Theme to it All.

Education needs to take into account the world, not one view or perspective. It has to encompass all aspects even those we find distasteful or repugnant. Yes that includes discussing things like Hitler, and the Klan even. It must include words that adequately describe the time such as the ‘N’ word and others. It has to be real, not sugar coated. Education is the solution to so many problems, yet today it seems like it is the forgotten key in our society.

World AIDS Day

Too many have the notion that while AIDS and HIV are a threat, it is not one for them. I know I have that same urge and need to try and bury my head. However, I love my wife, David, and so I go through the agony of wondering every six months when I have a test done. It isn’t painful in the sense of mechanics, but you know the waiting to hear the results is. Still, it is a small price to pay to insure that your life isn’t about to be shortened.
